About Traumanil:
Frequently Asked Questions
Traumanil - Targeting the Source of Pain
Why doesn’t Traumanil smell or feel hot or cold like other muscle rubs?
Traumanil contains no menthol or salicylate. It delivers powerful, anti-inflammatory ingredients to the site of the injury. Other rubs give a false sense, or placebo effect, by making the skin feel hot or cold thereby only masking the pain instead of treating it.
Will Traumanil stain my clothing?
Usually not. In the event that it causes discoloration of clothes it will generally wash out. Always make sure that Traumanil is rubbed in, absorbed and dry before putting on your clothes.
I have a bad back. Will Traumanil help?
Yes. An oral (systemic) NSAID might help with the effectiveness and can be used with Traumanil but your doctor would be the best judge of this.
If I am currently taking a Cox1 or Cox2 NSAID, can I use Traumanil as well?
Traumanil is not a Cox1 or Cox2 NSAID and can be used in combination with NSAIDs. It would be wise to check with your doctor before taking both.
Do I have to eat before/when I apply Traumanil?
No. Traumanil is a topical gel application thereby eliminating any requirement to eat before or during application.
Will it cause damage to my kidneys or stomach or cause a heart attack or stroke?
No. Unlike oral NSAIDs or Cox 2 drugs, Traumanil will not cause these kinds of problems.
What areas respond best to the anti-inflammatory properties of Traumanil?
Fingers, wrists, elbows, neck, ankles, feet, hands, shoulders, knees and muscles.
How much gel do I need to apply?
One pump will dispense enough Traumanil to cover an area the size of the top of your hand.
How large of an area around an injury does the gel need to be applied to?
When treating joints like the knee, it is best to use enough Traumanil to cover around the entire knee.
How long does it take for Traumanil to work?
Acute injuries, like sprains of fingers, ankles or muscles will respond to Traumanil within minutes and will quickly recover. Repetitive use injuries will respond to Traumanil therapy in the first few days, but these areas need to be treated consistently for about one month for best results.
How often do I need to apply Traumanil?
Traumanil should be applied four times daily for best results.

Traumanil comes in 50ml airless pump bottle.
